Doc Howard Gas House Cove & In-Cove Swim

Sign-up sheets have been posted for the Doc Howard Over 45 Gashouse Cove Swim and the Under 45 Cove Swims on Saturday June 29th.   

It’s a late afternoon swim with a BBQ afterwards. 

Gashouse Cove is considered a qualifying swim for Alcatraz and Golden Gate.  It’s also a great opportunity for under 45’s to get another help before Alcatraz and Golden Gate.  

Here is how the timing looks for the swims:

Gas House Cove Fun Swim – Saturday June 1

Sign-up sheets are up for the Gas House Cove Swim, Saturday, June 1.  

We walk to Fort Mason and jump off the dock, swim out through Gas House Cove and back to Aquatic Park with a flood – distance: 1 mile.

Bay Bridge Swim, Sunday May 12

Sign-up sheets have been posted for the Bay Bridge Swim, Sunday, May 12, 2019.  The length of the swim is approximately 3 miles.  We will be swimming with the ebb.

Evening Cove Swim & BBQ – Saturday, May 4

Sign-up sheets are up for the EVENING Cove Swim, Saturday, May 4 at 5:00 pm.  This swim was originally Coghlan Beach but has been changed due to a sailing race conflict.  We know that many of you are planning your qualifiers and since this was supposed to be one, we will have a course that will be a qualifier (most likely Inside/Outside and Flag).  The distance will be slightly over a mile.

John Nogue Swim for Science – Sunday April 14

Sign-up sheets have been posted for the John Nogue Swim for Science (Pier 15), Sunday, April 14, 2019. 

You will walk to the Capurro’s dock and get on a boat that will transport swimmers to Pier 15.  The length of the swim is approximately 2.3 miles. You will be swimming with an ebb.
